Day Support Services

The Vocational and Developmental Complex is a day support program which provides training, assistance and support to adults with developmental disabilities who are age 18 or older.

The goal of the program is to assist consumers in reaching the maximum level of independence and personal satisfaction.

Some of the activities include developmental skills training such as:

• increasing thresholds of tolerance
• improving interpersonal skills
• communication, community living skills
• skills of everyday living

One of the most popular services to the community is Shorecrafts where consumers learn to imprint napkins and other materials and also produce crabpots for the local water community. These products are sold to the community and are a result of working on consumers' individualized goals to improve in areas such as manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and reading/writing skills.

The Greenery Greenhouse is also a local favorite where plants and vegetables are grown and sold to the local community.
